The spirit of our cartoons about the legal profession was captured by these memorable words attributed to that inimitable “simple country lawyer," the late United States Senator Sam J. Ervin Jr. of North Carolina, who achieved ever lasting fame and public gratitude for his chairmanship of the U. S. Senate’s Watergate Committee that investigated Richard Nixon.

An ounce of revealing humor
often has more power to reveal,
convince or ridicule than do
many tons of erudite argument.

Robert J. Aragon is a humorist living in the Los Angeles area.  He is a graduate of UCLA and the Harvard Business School and a former business executive and entrepreneur.

His artist-collaborator, Rodrigo Guerrero Suarez, a cartoonist for Dinero, Colombia’s leading financial publication is a graduate of the Universidad Católica and of the Escuela de Bellas Artes in Bogota and an award winning artist.

Aragon-Guerrero cartoons have appeared in Commonweal, Mensa, Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, Business Law Journal, Sun, American Legion and a variety of other publications.  Their book, “I’ll See You In Court” A Collection of Cartoons for the Legal Profession and the Rest of Us will be published shortly. Other collections in work include a collection of cartoons about artists and writers, cartoons of the corporate world, a collection of animal humor, and a collection of caption-less cartoons that pay homage to Chaval and the other great and unforgivably forgotten French cartoonists of the 1950s.
